文献概要

ブロードマン10野および38野の持つ構造的特徴と機能的役割について概観する。両領域ともに,これまでに取り上げられた研究は数多く,神経心理学研究,脳機能画像研究,精神疾患研究,神経疾患研究,脳神経外科研究など多岐に及ぶ。これら2つの領域は極めて高次な機能的役割を担っているのが現状であり,その解明は極めて難解である。本稿では,それぞれの領域について,いくつかの認知的側面からこれまでの研究を概観し,複雑な機能の解明に有効な研究の方向性を示唆することを目的とする。
