文献概要
うつ病・双極性障害は,病的な気分変調をきたす疾患である。この両疾患は,前部帯状皮質,背外側前頭前皮質,島領域,扁桃体といった情動を調整する部位の灰白質体積が小さいことが明らかになってきた。また,発症,症状といった臨床的背景や遺伝素因はこれらの部位が小さいことと関連していた。以上から,これらの脳部位を結ぶ神経ネットワークがうつ病・双極性障害の病態に関与していると考えられるようになってきている。
