文献概要

筋痛性脳脊髄炎／慢性疲労症候群（ME/CFS）の生物学的病因を探索する近年の研究により，血液・脳脊髄液における種々のサイトカイン上昇，ME/CFS亜群と関連した自己抗体などの異常が明らかにされている。またB細胞を除去する抗CD20抗体（リツキシマブ）がME/CFSに有効であるという医師主導治験の報告もあり，自己免疫応答亢進などの免疫異常を背景とする中枢神経系炎症がME/CFSの本態である可能性が議論されている。
