文献概要

筋痛性脳脊髄炎/慢性疲労症候群(ME/CFS)は6カ月以上持続する疲労感,睡眠障害,認知機能障害などを生じる疾患である。ME/CFSは自覚症状により定義されているため疾患概念そのものに対する懐疑的意見もあるが,近年の研究では神経画像,血液マーカーの解析,代謝,ミトコンドリアなどの研究でさまざまな客観的な異常が報告されている。特に脳内外での免疫系の活性化がきっかけとなり,炎症性サイトカインが放出されることで病気が発症する可能性が指摘されている。この総説ではME/CFSについての客観的なエビデンスを中心に解説する。
