サルのストレス解消法としての入浴

入浴にはストレス軽減の効果があることが知られている。地獄谷野猿公苑のニホンザルは温泉入浴をする唯一の野生動物だが,この行動による短・長期的影響を理解するためには,ニホンザルの社会,生活史,神経分泌機構などを踏まえた多角的なアプローチが必要である。本論では,ニホンザルの社会動態・繁殖戦略に注目しながら,霊長類における体温調節のための行動学的・生理学的戦略,体と脳における寒冷ストレスの影響を概説する。
