　日本では、オピオイド依存症はアメリカに比べてまだ問題になっていないようだが、非がん慢性疼痛に対して使用されるようになると、乱用や依存症患者が増加することが危惧される。依存症のケアや予防法について、精神科などの専門科だけでなく、一般臨床医が広く深い知識を持って、早期からケアしていく必要がある。
