腹直筋血腫は比較的珍しい病態で、鑑別に挙がらず診断に難渋することがあり注意が必要である。抗血栓薬内服や軽微な外傷、腹部への注射、労作による腹壁の緊張がリスクファクターと言われている。大半は軽症であるが、出血をコントロールできず、輸血を要することや致命的になることもある^1）。
