文献概要

プロトンポンプ阻害薬（proton pump inhibitor：PPI）は肺炎など、感染症のリスク増加と関連していることが報告されている。したがって肺炎を発症した症例において、内服理由不明のPPIがあれば、その因果関係を少なからず意識することもあるかもしれない。しかし、必ずしもPPIだけが感染症の原因となっているわけではないことに留意したい。そもそも内服の理由が不明なことは、薬のリスク/ベネフィットに対する不確実性が高いことを意味しており、安易な「off」は推奨できない。
