⓯転倒—転倒リスクを高める薬剤は鎮静薬だけではない〜薬剤の種類と予防、中止のタイミング

2025年には国民の4人に1人が75歳以上の“超高齢社会”になると予想されている^1）。加齢に伴い、脳血管疾患^2）、認知症^3）、フレイル、サルコペニア^4）の罹患が増加することが見込まれ、なかでも転倒は、健康寿命に大きな影響を与えるイベントである。転倒で骨折すれば、入院や手術、それに伴う内科的合併症治療、骨粗鬆症の評価治療、リハビリテーションといったカスケードとなり、膨大な医療資源が必要となる。そのため、転倒予防を目的としたさまざまな介入が必要だと、複数のガイドラインで述べられている^5）。しかしながら、介入をするうえで最も考えるべきは、なぜ転倒したのか、その「理由」である。本稿では転倒の原因とリスク、なかでも薬剤に注目して解説する。
