総合診療外来における長期間の臨床実習は、大病院の臓器専門外来や病棟で伝統的な短期ブロックローテーションをした学生に比べて臨床経験機会が多く、「臨床能力修得」において利点があるだけでなく、「学業成績」も同等かそれ以上である。
