⓬ビタミンB₁欠乏症

Point
◦ビタミンB₁欠乏症は現代日本においても稀な疾患ではなく、明らかな欠乏リスクがなくても基礎疾患や生活習慣に起因した欠乏が起こりうる。
◦ビタミンB₁欠乏症は心不全やWernicke脳症以外にも多彩な症状を呈する。原因不明の代謝性アシドーシスや消化器症状、神経症状を認める場合は、ビタミンB₁欠乏症を鑑別に挙げて補充を検討する。
◦全血総ビタミンB₁濃度測定は検査精度が低いことや、結果が出るまでに時間がかかるなどの問題点があるため、ビタミンB₁欠乏症を疑った場合は結果を待たずに治療を開始する。
