　“心血管系”に見られる“石”をまとめて学ぶことは少ない。一概に“石灰化”あるいは“結石”と言っても、その成因は部位によって大きく異なり、それぞれの病的意義をわれわれ総合診療医は理解しておく必要がある。内分泌・代謝領域が得意な当科では比較的稀な異所性石灰化を経験することも多く、論文報告も行ってきた^1,2）。本稿では循環器を専門とする医師とタッグを組み、総合診療医の視点から、心血管系臓器の石灰化病変・疾患について対比的に整理してみる。
