・アブレーション術後に心房細動が再発した症例の約1/3は，術後1年以降の再発であり，遠隔期の心房細動再発は十分あり得る．
・アブレーション術後に心房細動が再発した際，無症候性の再発である場合も多くフォローアップにあたっては留意する必要がある．
・血栓塞栓症リスクが低いCHADS2スコア1点以下の患者においては，術後遠隔期には抗凝固療法の中止が可能であるが，中止基準や中止時期については症例ごとに異なってくるのが現状である．
・血栓塞栓症リスクが高いCHADS2スコア2点以上の患者においては，術後洞調律がある程度維持されていても抗凝固療法の半永久的な継続が望ましい．
・アブレーション術後に心房細動が再発した症例の約1/3は，術後1年以降の再発であり，遠隔期の心房細動再発は十分あり得る．
