・Fontan手術は低酸素血症の改善を目指す手術であるが，特殊な血行動態により遠隔期の合併症は少なくない．
・Fontan術後には不整脈，体心室機能低下，肺血管抵抗の上昇，といった循環器合併症だけでなく，血栓塞栓症，肝・腎機能異常や蛋白漏出性胃腸症など全身臓器に注意して診療する．
