・がん関連血栓症（CAT）のリスクが高いと考えられるときは，血栓予防あるいはスクリーニングの実施を検討する．
・CATの診断は，単に静脈血栓症だけでなく，脳梗塞，心筋梗塞，DIC，動脈血栓症など多数の血栓症の疑いがあることを理解しながら進める．
・薬物予防は最大の治療戦略でありながら，最大の合併症の発生源であることを理解しながら，薬物の弱点を克服するように用いる．
・CATの治療はがん以外の血栓症治療とは異なることを理解し，マネジメントする必要がある．
