Point
・超高齢社会の本邦において，心房細動による塞栓症予防手段の一つとして経カテーテル的左心耳閉鎖術への期待は大きい．
・左心耳閉鎖後に抗凝固薬を中止することが起因すると思われる，出血性脳卒中・心血管死亡・全死亡・慢性期大出血の減少が報告されている．
・安全性と有効性は徐々に改善しているが，術後抗血栓療法や適応患者選択などに関してさらなるエビデンス蓄積が必要である．
