4．視刺激検査―2) 視運動性眼振検査

　運動する物体を認知するために，中心および周辺視野に映った外界の動きを追うような眼球運動が視運動性眼振(OKN)である．中心視野を使って速い立ち上がりを示す直接経路と，周辺視野を使ってゆっくりとした反応を起こす間接経路がある．直接経路は大脳皮質を介し，間接経路は介さない．画像診断の進歩により障害部位診断にとってのOKN検査の臨床的意義は低下しつつあるものの，眼運動系の機能評価法の一つとして有用である．
