MHCクラスⅠ抗原とシナプス可塑性

1 . はじめに

　主要組織適合遺伝子複合体(major histocompatibility complex；MHC)クラスⅠ抗原は重鎖(α₁～α₃)とβ₂-ミクログロブリン(β₂-m)の軽鎖で構成される(図1)．MHCクラスⅠ抗原は，ほぼすべての体細胞表面に発現しているが，脳の神経細胞とグリア細胞には発現しないと考えられてきた．しかし最近になって，健常な脳細胞にも発現していることがわかり，MHCクラスⅠ抗原の新たな役割が注目されている．

　本稿では，MHCクラスⅠ抗原が脳ではシナプス可塑性関連因子として働く可能性を紹介する．
