癌幹細胞の同定

文献購入ページに移動近年,白血病をはじめとした種々の癌において,少数の幹細胞が存在し,限られた分化と自己複製を繰り返しながら癌構成細胞を供給し続ける,癌幹細胞システムという概念が提唱されている.白血病を含めた造血器腫瘍は癌幹細胞システムのよいモデルとされている.白血病幹細胞(leukemic stem cell)の起源となる標的細胞の同定や,正常造血幹細胞や前駆細胞との遺伝子発現や細胞表面マーカーの比較により,白血病幹細胞と正常造血幹細胞を区別することが可能となり,白血病幹細胞のみを標的とする治療法の開発が試みられている.また,固形癌においても同様に細胞表面マーカーや色素排出能を指標としたside population細胞によりその同定がなされるようになってきている.このような癌幹細胞は,種々の抗癌剤や放射線に対して耐性を示すことから,癌の完治のためには癌幹細胞を標的にする治療法の開発が必要である.
