菌の基本情報

1．性状と特徴

・通性嫌気性グラム陽性球菌である．

・5〜10％濃度のCO₂存在下で培養すると発育が促進される．

・0.6〜1.0μmの球形をしており，連鎖している．

・細胞壁成分であるC多糖体を抗原とするLancefieldの分類では，A群に属する．

・血液寒天培地上で直径1mm程度のやや白色の盛り上がったコロニーを形成し，β溶血性を呈する．
