●重症熱性血小板減少症候群(SFTS)はマダニが媒介する新興ブニヤウイルス感染症で,中国,日本,韓国でその流行が確認されている.

●血球貪食症候群,多臓器不全,血液凝固系異常が認められ,致死率が高い.

●日本では,SFTS virusは三種病原体〔バイオセーフティレベル(BSL3)対応〕に,SFTSは四類感染症として指定されている.

●日本では,RT-PCR法および蛍光抗体法による検査・診断が行われている.
