動脈硬化症の病態メカニズム

●動脈硬化症は，脂肪線条の進展によって小児期より始まり，年齢ごとに進行したアテローム性病変の頻度が増えてくる．

●酸化されたリポ蛋白の産生が，アテロームの形成において重要な病因となる．

●単球の内皮への接着，内膜への遊走，脂質を貪食し泡沫化したマクロファージへの成熟が，アテローム性プラークが形成される前段階である．

●アテローム性プラークの進展は，リポ蛋白や白血球の出入り，細胞増殖と細胞死，細胞外マトリックスの産生とリモデリング，石灰化と血管新生などの間の複雑な均衡関係が病変形成に関与する．
