胃の老化と慢性胃炎

Point

●慢性萎縮性胃炎は純粋な老化現象ではなく，胃粘膜萎縮の広がりや程度はHelicobacter pylori（以下，ピロリ菌）の感染期間の長さが大きな要因である．

●高齢者であっても，ピロリ菌感染がなければ萎縮性変化はほとんど認めない．

●ピロリ菌除菌療法は胃粘膜のアンチエイジングに有用であるが，萎縮性変化の進行が少ない若い世代で行うほうがより有効である．
