Point

●三学会（日本化学療法学会・日本感染症学会・日本臨床微生物学会）による合同サーベイランスには全国の300以上の医療機関が参加している．

●原因菌の抗菌薬感受性を集中測定する公的で厳密な学会主導のサーベイランスであり，単なる感受性成績の集約ではない．

●参加施設へ還元される成績は適正抗菌薬療法推進の大きな参考になるとともに，全体の成績は国内外の学会で発表され，かつ英文論文として報告されている．

●得られた成績と保存菌株は，学術研究を含むさまざまな目的での再利用が可能である．

●三学会合同サーベイランスは，日本化学療法学会が要望して実現した，わが国の各種抗菌薬の高用量化が，感受性の回復につながったことを証明している．
