Point

●侵襲性細菌感染症におけるPOCTは，早期診断・早期治療，診断精度の向上を目的にして実施する．

●POCTには主に髄膜炎原因菌莢膜多糖体抗原検査と肺炎球菌迅速抗原検査が用いられる．検査対象疾患の中心は細菌性髄膜炎であるが，膿胸や菌血症の病原診断に使用することもある．抗菌薬前投与例の原因菌診断にも有用である．

●ワクチンの普及に伴う侵襲性感染症の疫学の変化によって，POCTの適応も変化している．検査の特性を理解したうえで，効果的に用いるべきである．
