●マラリアは現在も世界で最も多くの感染者を出している感染症の1つである．

●マラリア診断のゴールドスタンダードは現在もGiemsa染色であるが，迅速診断キットも特に熱帯熱マラリアの診断において有用である．

●デング熱の迅速診断キットは2016年6月に保険適用となった．

●デング熱迅速診断キットはNS1（non-structural protein 1）抗原および免疫グロブリンM（IgM）/免疫グロブリンG（IgG）を測定できるが，それぞれがデング熱のどの時期に陽性になるのかを把握しておかなければならない．
