Point

●TREM-1は免疫グロブリンスーパーファミリーに属している受容体の1つである．主に食細胞（好中球や単球/マクロファージ，樹状細胞）の膜上に発現し，Toll様受容体（TLR）を介した炎症反応を相乗的に増強している．

●膜貫通型のmTREM-1が切断を受けて生じる可溶型sTREM-1は，細菌や真菌に感染したとき，それが引き金となって血中に遊離してくる．

●近年，感染症の病態把握や予後判定のバイオマーカーとして，さらには感染症治療のターゲットとしての臨床応用も期待されている．
