Point

●薬物投与から効果発現までの過程における“時間”と“効果”の関係は，薬物投与量と血中濃度の関係を考える薬物動態（PK）および薬物濃度と効果の関係を考える薬力学（PD）の両者を考えることにより導き出される．

●検査・処置のための鎮静・鎮痛（PSA）における薬物投与の原則は，①少量・分割投与，②単回投与の最大効果時間を待ってからの追加投与，である．

●ある検査や処置に対して特定の薬物が最もよいといったことはなく，必要とされる鎮静や鎮痛のレベル，患者の状態，PSA施行者の嗜好や技量などに応じて薬剤は選択される．
