気管支喘息

●気管支喘息の病態には多様性があることが知られており，また患者個人のなかでも変動性がある．そのため，複数の臨床検査や臨床情報を組み合わせて総合的に評価を行う必要がある．
●検体検査では末梢血好酸球数，抗原特異的免疫グロブリンE（IgE）抗体，血清総IgE値が病態の評価に有用であり，血液ガス検査は主に増悪時の重症度の評価に有用である．喀痰も病態の評価に有用である．
●画像検査（胸部X線，胸部CT）では肺野の過膨張，モザイクパターン，気管支壁肥厚，粘液栓，気管支拡張が参考となる．喘息と鑑別の必要な他疾患の評価においても重要である．
●生理機能検査は喘息の評価で最も重要な臨床検査である．スパイロメトリーが最も基本的であるが，気道可逆性試験，気道過敏性試験，モストグラフ，呼気一酸化窒素（FeNO），ピークフローモニタリングを必要に応じて適切に用いる．
