Point

●睡眠時無呼吸症候群（SAS）は，わが国においても高い有病率が示されており，他の疾患に併発することも多く，医療施設や診療科を問わず携わる機会が多い疾患である．

●SASの診断検査は，睡眠ポリグラフ検査（PSG）がゴールドスタンダードであり，その実施および解析において臨床検査技師の果たす役割は非常に大きい．

●SASの治療は，従来行われてきた減量，持続気道陽圧（CPAP）療法，口腔内装置に加えて，病態に応じた個別化治療や新規デバイスを用いた治療が臨床応用されつつある．

●近年の動向として，診断における検査施設外睡眠検査（OCST）やCPAP療法における遠隔モニタリング管理など，医療機関外のデータを利用した診療が拡大している．
